WebCT is an integrated set of web course tools that can be used to supplement a class taught mostly face-to-face or one delivered entirely online. WebCT was originally created by professors at the University of British Columbia and later owned by a private company called WebCT Inc., which has offices in Massachusetts and British Columbia. A few years ago WebCT was aquired by Blackboard and world leader in Course Management Systems. WebCT is the primary web-based course management system supported by the University of Central Florida, Course Development.
