Content Capture

The Spring 2007 Semester marked the beginning of numerous changes that COVE is making concerning online education for CECS. This semester the FEEDS program was updated to new software called Tegrity as well as hardware updates for the 6 FEEDS multimedia classrooms. This Summer 2007 COVE will continue to update hardware and will be adding several new exciting features to Tegrity.

Online Collaboration

A vital part of online education is student-instructor interaction. To date there has been little technology development in this area by the educational field. COVE is experimenting with an online Ventrilo audio server to facilitate high quality audio interaction. In the next year, COVE will be investigating available technologies such as Wiki, Forums, IM, Ventrilo, and other online collaboration technology.
