CENTER FOR ONLINE AND VIRTUAL EDUCATION (COVE)
The mission of CECS is to further the knowledge and practice of the engineering and computer science professions nationally and internationally. We provide high-quality and innovative undergraduate and graduate curricula that prepare our students to be effective, contributing members of a technological society and life-long learners. The Center for Online and Virtual Education (formerly Florida Engineering Education Delivery System) is the delivery system which was established to provide students with the most convenient and timely engineering education possible. Our internet based system also allows students who might otherwise have a time or distance disadvantage the opportunity to further their engineering education.
Each class has mutliple sections and students register based upon where they would take tests, if proctored ones were given. Those students taking tests at a location other than a UCF campus must first fill out and submit this registration form.
This form must be submitted prior to registration each term. This should be done two weeks prior to the start of the term to avoid possible late fee charges.
Each department decides which courses will be offered online each term. These decisions are published in March for the Summer thru Spring Term. Please click on the individual department for their projected Academic Year 2012/13 course offerings.

Tegrity is the lecture capture software supported by COVE and the University of Central Florida. Students view their lectures by either logging in to myUCF or Webcourses@UCF.

During Summer Term, CECS Technical Tegrity support is available Monday thru Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are located in the Engineering 1 room 387 and can be reached by phone at 407-823-2481.
